after spending 3 years of sleepless nights facing their innermost demons for 2020's "these monsters will haunt you", zachary caputo (aka Mr. Grimm, aka Wish I Was A Wife, aka one half of HYPER SPRAY, etc. etc.) officially retires their ZJC pseudonym to debut this digital 12" under their own name.

melding their unique "plastic footwork" sound with their love of pop music, the 4 track 12" blends sweat-inducing BPMs and subwoofer-shaking bass with copious samples from Lorde's 2017 album "Melodrama", extending that album's atmosphere for tear-jerking dance floor bangers with a left-field twist. this hybrid of groove and melody ensures the tracks will stay stuck in your head long after your feet stop moving.

while zack's previous album as ZJC was a swan song, feeling finite and absolute in its conclusion, we're happy to have been surprised with this rebirth. instead of reporting from deep within the darkness, "midnight, lose my mind" shows that zack is willing to shake off the dust and dance away the pain, inviting all of us to do so with them. maybe one day we'll be able to pack into smart bar again and use that collective energy to shed our baggage, but until then, this digital 12" will more than suffice.
