zachary caputo & james sunderland return for their third release as HYPER SPRAY, this digital 12" being titled "so midwestern", stamped with the now familiar logo summoned by dave cartwright.

this time, they're throwing their influences from the midwestern dance scene into the grinder for some of their most dancefloor ready tracks yet. shades of detroit techno and chicago industrial collide and disintegrate, melding with their ever-present love for footwork and undying sonic curiosity, resulting in 21 minutes of subwoofer exercises.

however, in expectedly unexpected fashion, the final track brings in a sense of respite seldom seen in HYPER SPRAY's work previously... maybe a hint at a new direction? a one off we were lucky enough to hear? whatever it means, we're just happy there seems to be an obvious future for HYPER SPRAY, and that their present form continues to result in such satisfying creations.
